'Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.'

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Additional Information

Q: I am not a model and I've never done this. Is that an issue?

A: No one comes in knowing how to pose, and everyone leaves with amazing pictures! You’ve hired me to make you look and feel the best you ever have, and I guarantee you'll leave with a new found confidence. Your only job: have fun and relax. I only ask that place your confidence in me. With amazing posing, lighting and direction, you will love your portraits!

Q: Will my photographs be on the internet?

A: Not unless you say it’s okay! Every client I feature on my website has given me written permission to post her images. Privacy is very important to me. If you decide you don’t want them shared, that is completely fine. If you want to give permission, I’d LOVE to share them so other women can get an idea of what the experience looks and feels like.

Q: I have problem areas, do you photoshop?

A: Yes and no. I use software to make tweaks and adjustments to remove most common issues such as blemishes/skin faws. However, the whole purpose of your boudoir shoot is for you to realize what a goddess YOU are without making you look like someone else. I will use lighting and posing that is used to flatter your specific body type, no matter your curves or age.

Q: What should I wear?

A: The simplest way to put it….anything you want! You can wear as much, or little, as you desire! If you want to wear ripped jeans with a jersey, a cute little summer dress or the skimpiest lingerie piece you can find, all that matters is that you are comfortable. In saying that, I recommend bringing several different pieces to choose from because guaranteed the further you get into your session, the more comfortable you will become and the more risque you may want to go.

Q: Should I bring my own lingerie?

A: As lingerie is something extremely personal and unique to individuals’ bodies, we recommend bringing your own lingerie that makes you feel incredible . There are plenty of shops with a wide variety of choices for your body type and taste such as Tabu Lingerie, Le Rouge Boutique and Victoria’s Secret. I’m honestly a fan of using “normal” clothing such as a sexy crop top, oversized sweater, a button up shirt or a slinky robe. You can literally wear anything and as long as it makes you feel sexy, it will be sexy!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The boudoir experience begins at $300. I'm here to help you through the whole experience so you can get exactly what you want. Email me to receive full pricing info or to schedule a free consultation! It's great to get to know everyone before their shoot and it's a great way to calm some nerves before your session!

Q: Where does the session take place?

A: Your session will take place in my home in Hutto. I have a room I use for my studio space and you’ll feel right at home! Exact location will be provided to you once you’ve confirmed your session with deposit and client information form. I also offer the option to either shoot in the comfort of your own home or in a location of your choosing such as a tasteful hotel room or even outside! Photoshoots out in nature are some of my favorites especially with all of that natural lighting!

Q: I’m engaged and would LOVE to give this to my future husband. When should I book my shoot in order to have pictures before the wedding?

A: First of all, CONGRATS on the engagement! Bridal Boudoir is such an exhilarating and special experience as you are not only doing something so special for your loved one but because you are celebrating the beginning of a whole new chapter in your life. For my soon to be brides, I recommend booking a session 3 months before the desired date of product delivery.

Q: A close girlfriend of mine is getting married soon and I thought it would be exciting to have a Boudoir Bachelorette Party. Do you have any party photo options?

A: Yes! It’s always a fun time getting together with your girlfriends, having a few drinks, getting dolled up and listening to some music. Why not turn it up a notch, throw in some lights, camera and a sexy smile and….action! Get in touch with me and we can discuss all options.

Q: I’m ready to book a shoot, what’s next?

A: Once you let me know what date you’d like to shoot, I will send you a booking proposal and contract. The contract must be signed and the non-refundable retainer is due to reserve your shoot day/time.

Q: What payment options do you accept?

A: I currently accept all major credit cards as well as electronic payment via Venmo and of course, cash.

Q: I’m not sure what I want to order yet, can I decide when I see my photos?

A: Of course! Shortly after your photo shoot, we will sit down together, view your images and discuss product options.  Once you decide on what you’d like to order (album, canvas, etc), 50% of the total is due to begin work on the design and the remaining balance is due when you pick up your order. I do not release product orders without full payment. Delivery of your goodies depends on what you are purchasing but takes approximately 2-4 weeks to come in after submitting the order.

Q: What if something comes up and I am unable to make my scheduled date/time?

A:  I understand life tends to happen sometimes and things occur unexpectedly. In the event something happens and you are unable to make your scheduled photo shoot, you can reschedule your photoshoot once, without penalty, with a minimum 7 days notice. If you need to reschedule with less than 7 days notice, you will have to pay an additional $50.00 fee to reschedule a new time slot. If you need to cancel and do not plan to reschedule, if a minimum of 14 days notice is given, you will receive a full refund of your booking fee.. If you need to cancel with less than 14 days notice, or you do not show up for your appointment, the booking fee will not be refunded. When you sign your contract, we block off those hours to shoot with you, thus turning away people interested in shooting that day.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable. You have final say on the retouching and any custom album design and nothing goes to print without your approval.

  • MANI/PEDI- You may not think about it but the smallest details can make or break a picture. I recommend getting your nails done, or at least, ensure they are well maintained. Neutral shades (white, gray, nude ombres) or French/American manicures photograph best.

  • EAT- Ensure you eat before your shoot. Nothing too heavy as you don’t want to feel bloated or super full but you definitely don’t want to skip out on eating. The sessions last a minimum of 2 hours and you’ll need the energy to hold the poses. I promise, you’ll have a whole new level of respect for models after your shoot!
  • WARDROBE- Pick something you not only feel sexy in, but comfortable as well. Discomfort shows up in pictures. Also ensure you are wearing something that FITS you appropriately. You don’t want anything too tight that will leave lines on your body (you’ll most certainly change at least once), plus, you want your outfits to look flattering on you.
  • HYDRATE- Drink PLENTY of water days leading up to and the day of the shoot. If you’re dehydrated, it will show in your eyes and face.

  • PANIC DIET- Deciding to do a Boudoir Shoot does NOT mean that all of a sudden you have to lose all this weight to feel fabulous about yourself. PLEASE do not stress about your weight or how you look. My job is to show you how amazing you are RIGHT NOW, just the way you are.
  •  TIGHT CLOTHING- The morning of your shoot, please avoid wearing tight clothing such as thongs, bras, or anything elastic to avoid lines on your skin. A loose dress or t-shirt with loose short or draw-string pants are recommended.
  • PARTY THE NIGHT BEFORE- Being hungover does not look pretty in pictures. Simple as that. It will create bags under your eyes, make them look sunken in, and you just don’t look great when you don’t feel great. Save the celebration for AFTER your photoshoot!
